McCann House
Stay in this charming Victorian Bed & Breakfast with a beautiful view of the harbor. Built in 1902 by Capt. John McCann for his family. This family were boat-builders and the craftsmanship shows in the lovely woodwork created before the use of power tools.
Walk a few blocks to the downtown, or sit on the porch to watch the boats. An extensive breakfast is included with smoked fish, eggs or waffles or dutch baby, juice, coffee, fresh fruit, etc. There are wonderful gardens to enjoy with hydrangeas, spirea, holly, old roses, hostas, herbs, heuchera, trumpet vines and trillium. No pets allowed. Small children are welcomed (Pack n’ Play bed and high chair available).
Learn about the history of the island from your host, who is an artist, gardener, writer, pie-maker and forager. Come go back in time to a different time period in this modernized period house. Host is booking May-October dates now.
This year I have one king bed in the largest room. The other 2 rooms have full-sized beds.
