Come take part in this 5K walk/run. New date in 2026 as part of Lilacs & Lyrics, Saturday, June 6. Race begins at 9:30 AM the Community Center. It is fun for every one no matter what ability or level of seriousness. Registration: Adults- 25 dollars Children/seniors (60 and older) – 25-dollars Family of 4- 95 dollars. Prizes/medals awarded for adults and youth in 1st/2nd and third place. Registration also gets you a free boodle shirt.

The largest island in Lake Michigan, Beaver Island hosts many activities for every nature lover. The year round population is approximately 600 – with a large percentage of Irish descent. Time slows down here, offering a peaceful, relaxed way of life. Tour the Island by bicycle, or bring your car over on the ferry or rent a car to circle the Island in an afternoon.

Because of our location in the middle of northern Lake Michigan Beaver Island is one of the finest dark skies star gazing locations in the United States. We are far away from the light pollution of any large metro areas.

The Emerald Isle Irish Feile arrives on Beaver Island this week, bringing a wonderful celebration of Irish music, culture, language, and community to the island—and your Community Center will be at the heart of the festivities! Alongside our regular weekly programs, we’ll be welcoming festival performers, workshops, interviews, and special events throughout Friday and Saturday. The Féile is completely sold out, but we’re excited to be one of the places helping bring this incredible weekend to life!
